Rapture & Ruin
The Abolition of The Ten
Originally founded by The Repentant to Jehovah as a defensive military force, the ambitious leaders quickly re-assigned the Abolition to seek and destroy the supposed source of God’s wrath – Old World tech. The Abolition spread across the world hunting and destroying virtually all evidence of advanced technology, and any records that might inspire the reproduction of that same technology. This massive search-and-destroy mission came to be known as The Reboot. The Abolition began to compromise during this time, allowing the seizure and use of tech in order to facilitate the destruction of more in later days. Unfortunately compromise turned to corruption as destruction diminished and seizure and use increased. The Abolition quickly turned aggressive, resorting to violence to seize any technology they wanted, and was soon disavowed by The Repentant to Jehovah. Today The Abolition still preaches Repentance doctrine so far as is necessary to weakly justify their violent actions, but mostly they are the best equipped and most widely feared raiders on Ruin.
The Abolition was originally named The Abolition of The Seventh, in respect to the seventh commandment, but was later renamed to The Abolition of The Ten after their schism from The Repentant to Jehovah – a name they used to justify countless crimes against defenseless Ruiners. The Abolition employs a ranking system that combines religious and military tiers, with Deacon Privates at the bottom and Bishop Generals forming the command.
