Rapture & Ruin
The New Confederation
The people of the American south-east were among the most sparsely populated in the country and managed to scrape through The Rapture. The survivors clung to Old World values and reignited an old dream, The Confederacy. The New Confederation was born and quickly expanded throughout the land, enveloping the tribal Ruiners of America until the organization possessed the numbers and infrastructure to be called a country. Today the New Confederation governs most settlements of the American south-east and is slowly expanding west by way of Fort Worth. The current President, Henry Montgomery, sits in their constantly growing capitol city of New Richmond, where he confers with his Senate and Repentant to Jehovah advisors. The New Confederation enjoys a close relationship with the religious group, and flourishes due to Repentance support, agricultural methods constantly changing to exploit Ruin’s new flora and fauna, and the reinstatement of slavery.
